"My renovation project was extensive and I needed a variety of work completed since I had gutted a property, and now faced the reality of renovating – with an associated budget and timeline. My basement was unfinished, and I asked Mike to provide me with some options and prices and timelines to renovate my basement. He promptly provided this requested information with some options tailored to my needs. I had incorrectly presumed he focused solely on basement renovations. In the meantime, I had approved renovation work on the main floor and upstairs, by two individuals that had been referred to me. In 11 days, these guys had made minimal progress on their assigned work; they were not nearly as productive, nor resourceful as I was led to believe. My budget was being consumed, and my project had not moved along anywhere near the pace I anticipated. On several occasions, I voiced my concern that my project was not progressing according to my planned timeline and budget, and although I was met with assurances; I realized no change in results. I realized I had to take action and ask these fellows to pack in their tools and leave. Mike and I had discussions about my projects and what I envisioned.
